Food Concepts class has been learning new knife cuts as well as new vocabulary. Some of the cuts they worked on included: julienne, batonette, rough chop, dice, chiffonaide, and brunoise. Next week...heading into the kitchen to make vegetable soup!

JH Football and JH Volleyball memory mate pictures will be taken on Tuesday, August 27th. Even if you do not want photos taken, athletes must wear their uniform for the team picture. Your child should have received an envelope.

Lunch account balance calls have started last night. A friendly reminder for everyone: if you do send money to pay for lunch it will be credited to your account after midnight. You will still get one more lunch call the day you pay. If you are concerned you can always look at your parent portal or call Danelle in the Business Office or email danelle.elsen@k12.sd.us
Pricing has changed this year as well. Breakfast K-12 $1.95, Lunch K-5 $2.40 and 6-12 $2.85. Our home sporting events will be starting soon! All athletes are required to have an activity ticket. Athletes and fans can purchase their activity tickets in the business office with cash, check or credit card. If you would like the activity ticket added to your parent portal for online payment please contact Danni in the business office. Activity tickets can also be purchased at the gate with cash or check.
