We are excited to announce that we have created a scholarship program in conjunction with the following universities:
• South Dakota State University
• North Dakota State University
• Murray State University
There will be (3) $1,500 scholarships given to attendees of each university with an additional $1,500 scholarship flexible between universities dependent on applicants for a grand total of $15,000 in scholarship funds available. These will not be contributions to each university’s general scholarship fund, but something where we select the recipients and administer the program. Applicants must be full-time students working toward a two-year or four-year undergraduate degree with at least 30 completed college credits and two semesters minimum on the campus of one of the select universities. Preference to students studying agriculture, business, or related field with the desire to work in the agriculture sector. The recipient of each scholarship will also have a one-day commitment to shadow a farm marketing consultant for a day (in the office or on-farm) and gain exposure to Hurley & Associates' mission in action.

Parents’ Night for football, cheer, and cross country will be at Friday's football game . All parents will get into the game for free. We will announce the seniors and their parents before the game on the track. Congratulations to our senior football players: Wyatt, Gage, Will, Luke, BoDell, Tucker and Eli. Also, congratulations to our senior cheerleaders: Nevaeh, Maggie, Cassidy and Regan.
On Friday, students in grades 6-12 can pay $1 to wear a hat. All proceeds go to Marshall County Relay for Life.
The cheerleaders will be selling stick-on spirit tattoos Friday morning on the playground from 8:00-8:15. Go Braves!

Northwestern School hosted the first Mathcounts contest of the year. Two 7th grade teams and one 8th grade team participated. The next contest will be at Roncalli November 9.
The football contest on 10/14 between Britton-Hecla and Herried-Selby will be played at Dakotah Bank Stadium (Northern State University) located just south of the Barnett Center in Aberdeen. Given this is a neutral site activity passes will not be accepted for entrance into the game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Please come and support the Braves and enjoy this fantastic facility.

The elementary students get their first look at the positive messages on the playground.
The Life Management class is studying the importance of kindness as a part of stress reduction and healthy living. Today the students wrote positive, kind messages on the playground to spread kindness to elementary students. The students soaked up and loved the positive messages.
The student council will be selling rolls for $1.50 to students in grades 6-12 Tuesday morning. Proceeds will go to Marshall County Relay for Life. The Lady Braves will host Waubay/Summit Tuesday evening for their Cancer Awareness Game.
