Nominating petitions to become a school board member are available to be circulated. There is one position open for candidacy-Mandy Carlson (3-year term). Petitions can be picked up at the Britton-Hecla Business Office. Completed petitions must be filed with the business manager by end-of-day on Friday, May 10th. If more than 1 petition is filed, the election will be held on June 18th. The 3-year term will begin in July. Britton-Hecla Activities | April 29, 2024
The Britton-Hecla High School Band traveled to Watertown High School Wednesday, April 24th to participate in region large group contest, performing three pieces for three judges and an audience. The band was able to watch a few other groups perform beforehand, and ultimately did a wonderful job and received great comments from all three judges!
Egg-citing things are happening in Mrs. Bosse's biology classroom. Baby chicks are hatching! Many thanks to Ryan and Tawna Patterson for sharing their incubator and eggs with the class.
Congratulations to our Girls 4x800 meter relay team and our Boys 4x400 meter relay team today in Sisseton! Both teams took home first place.

Last week some of the BHHS sophomores attended a HYPE day at the Marshall County Hospital. They were able to get a tour of the hospital and learn about numerous jobs that the hospital employs. They had a great day!

Britton-Hecla Track will be going to Sisseton Legion Relays on Thursday, April 25th. Field events start at 11 am with running events at noon.
We will not be going to Webster on Friday.

Reminder that this is a full week of school with no early out on Wednesday. There should be no more early outs for the remainder of the year, except for the last day (May 16th) when school dismisses at 1:00!

Come and enjoy an evening of elegance and watch the Grand March for tonight's prom beginning at 6:00. Arena doors will open to the public at 5:30. There will be time after the Grand March for pictures with friends and family.
Due to colder weather, the JH Golf meet set for Saturday, April 20th has been postponed. We will let you know when it is rescheduled.
